April Program Center Stage: Climate Mitigation, Resiliency, and Adaptation: Updates from the Climate Program Action Team (PAT)
April 22nd, 2024 2:00 - 300 PM ET

Join us for an informative session to hear updates from the Climate Program Action Team (PAT) leaders. Discover the latest initiatives led by the Climate PAT, focusing on strengthening collaborations within the Cooperative Extension System to address climate change insights from the Climate Convening. With a mission to enhance Extension's capacity in climate adaptation and mitigation, the PAT prioritizes Climate-Smart Agriculture & Food Systems, Climate-Resilient Communities, and Ecosystem Services. The Climate PAT engages in system-wide action planning, forging partnerships, and advocating for climate solutions.

You’ll hear insights from the Climate Convening, a gathering by the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) and Climate PAT.  Leaders from across Cooperative Extension convened to tackle a fundamental query: "How can we mobilize the U.S. Cooperative Extension system to swiftly and effectively contribute to climate change solutions?" Throughout the Convening, participants embarked on a journey to fortify the climate-focused network within Cooperative Extension, culminating in the development of comprehensive climate action outcomes for Extension. As we reflect on the accomplishments of the Climate Convening, we extend an invitation to join us in outlining the next steps for the Climate PAT.

Don't miss this opportunity to explore Cooperative Extension's role in fostering a sustainable and resilient future.
